Barcode Generator Free is built on a fundamental privacy principle: your barcode values, product SKUs, and confidential serial numbers should never leave your device.
1. 100% Client-Side In-Browser Generation
Unlike traditional online barcode tools that transmit user input across the internet to remote servers, Barcode Generator Free executes entirely within your web browser. All encoding algorithms, checksum calculations (such as GS1 Modulo-10), and graphic rendering (Canvas and SVG) take place locally on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
We do not operate backend servers that receive, process, log, or record the barcode contents, numbers, text, or serial numbers you enter into the generator.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- No Barcode Data: Your SKU numbers, product identifiers, URLs, vCards, or custom messages are never uploaded to any remote server.
- No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or billing information.
- No Account Registration: You can generate, customize, download, and print unlimited barcodes without signing up or creating an account.
- No Tracking Cookies: We do not set commercial advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or marketing pixels.
3. Local Storage Usage
Our website uses your browser's native localStorage for a single technical purpose:
UI Theme Preference: Remembering whether you selected Light Theme or Dark Theme so the interface does not flicker on subsequent visits. This data remains on your local device and is never transmitted to us.
4. Hosting & Content Delivery
This website is statically deployed and served via Cloudflare Pages. When your browser requests static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and font assets, standard HTTP transmission logs (such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamp) may be temporarily processed at the edge solely to deliver the static files and protect against DDoS attacks. No barcode values or user inputs are included in these requests.
5. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because we do not collect, store, sell, or profile your personal data or barcode content, Barcode Generator Free inherently complies with the principles of data minimization and privacy by design under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
