- Personal, educational, non-profit, and academic research projects.
You are free to sell, distribute, or print physical or digital products containing barcodes generated using our tool without paying attribution, royalties, or licensing fees to us.
2. Ownership of Generated Barcodes
You retain complete ownership of all data, numbers, text, and barcodes you generate with our tool. Barcode Generator Free claims no ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights over the images, files, or labels you create.
3. Pre-Print Verification & User Responsibility
While our engine strictly adheres to GS1, ISO, and AIM barcode symbology specifications and performs real-time Modulo-10 check-digit validation, barcode scannability in the physical world depends on factors beyond our control (such as printer resolution, ink bleeding, substrate material, quiet zone margins, lighting, and scanner optical quality).
Important recommendation: Always test-scan your printed barcode labels with physical retail or industrial barcode scanners on your intended packaging substrate before initiating large-scale commercial print runs.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the service to:
- Generate deceptive, counterfeit, or fraudulent barcodes designed to mislead retail checkout systems, law enforcement, or postal authorities.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the web service infrastructure.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In no event shall Barcode Generator Free, its authors, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, inventory recall expenses, or printer ink/paper costs) arising from the use of or inability to use the service.
